Traffic stop yields cocaine

On Sept. 3, 2014, Investigators with the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested David Forrest Walker, 25, of 16581 N.C. Highway 32 North in Pinetown, and Bobby Randall Manning Jr., 41, of 5225 U.S. Highway 17 South in Vanceboro. Their arrests stemmed investigators receiving complaints citing Walker’s involvement in the use and distribution of controlled substances in Beaufort County. Investigators conducted a traffic stop on Walker’s vehicle on N.C. 32 near Terrapin Track Road. K-9 Elza alerted on the vehicle and investigators conducted a search locating two crack-cocaine smoking pipes and a user amount of cocaine in the vehicle.
David Walker and Bobby Manning Jr. were arrested and charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Walker and Manning Jr. were confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under $2,500 secured bonds.
