THURMAN STOX

 

Thurman Stox, 89, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on December 23, 2014. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Hazel Jackson Stox, three sons, Wayne Stox and wife Gloria and Stephen Stox and wife Sue, all of Ayden, and Bobby Stox and wife Joanna of Blounts Creek, one brother LaVern and wife Jeanette of Ayden, one sister Beatrice and husband Del of Vanceboro and 4 grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Heber and Malissa Stocks, a brother Norman Stocks, and a sister Eula Morris. Mr. Stox was a charter member of Trinity FWB Church. He served as a Deacon, Trustee, served on the church fellowship committee, and also as the the Sunday Secretary. He truly was a devoted man to his church which he loved dearly. He was a US Army veteran and served in the Korean war. He was a good husband. Daddy, and Granddaddy. He will be missed by all that knew him. Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, Dec. 27, 2014 at noon. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
