TENNIE L. REDDICK
October 10, 1908 – January 9, 2015
Tennie L. Reddick left this life Friday, January 9, 2015 to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus. She was predeceased by her husband John B. Reddick. Tennie was born on October 10, 1908 in Bath, NC, the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Hattie Spencer. Tennie moved to Niagara Falls in 2009. She became a resident of West Seneca Health Care Center in 2011.
Tennie was a member of Antioch Church in Pantego, NC where she taught Sunday School and was a mother of the church. Praying for others and fishing was her joy. Also planting vegetable gardens and raising chickens.
Tennie is survived by her only child, a daughter, Hattie V. (Reddick) Lowery; six grandsons, Melvin (Pamela) Spencer, Leondes Spencer, Terry A. (Thelma) Lowery, Jeffery E. (Helen) Lowery, Michael P. Lowery, and Randall L. (Donna) Lowery; three granddaughters, Beverly A. (Lee) Palmer, Lindalisa (Lawrence) Norville and Janice Lowery; and Katrina Lowery, wife of the late Glen Lowery and grandmother of the late Loretta Lowery. She was survived by a special family friend Cheryl Azzinaro. Tennie had six generations of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Tennie was the sister of the late Leon Spencer, Ermon Spencer, Mable Jackson, Lida McClendon and Mildred (Fred) Spencer.
There was never a day that Tennie did not pray for her family whom she loved madly.
A homegoing service will be held at 11 am, Friday, January 16, 2015 at Antioch Disciples of Christ Church, Pantego, NC, officiated by Bishop M. Freshwater and presided by Pastor H. Griffin, Jr. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
