Ms. Maggie Jean Nixon, 74, of 242 Lamb Rd., Roper, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015 at Brian Nursing Health and Rehabilitation Center of Windsor. The family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2015, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Bethel Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, 10893 N.C. Highway 32 North, Roper. A funeral will be held Thursday, Jan. 29, 2015, at 1 p.m. at the church; burial will follow at Bethel Church Cemetery, Roper. Arrangements are by Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service Inc. of Roper.
