SALLY A. WILLIAMSON

May 15, 1937 – Feb. 1, 2015

 

Sally Ayers Williamson passed away Sunday, Feb. 1, 2015 at Ridgewood Nursing Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Feb.5, 2015 at the Second Baptist Church in Washington. Rev. Dr. Phillip Hayes will be officiating. Burial will follow in Robersonville Cemetery.

Ms. Sally was born in Martin County on May 15, 1937 to the late James Stanley and Betty Elizabeth Ayers. She was a kind person who loved going to church, working in her yard, playing Bingo, and visiting her grandchildren until her health would no longer allow.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Jack Williamson, her son, Jerry, her daughter, Diana W. Harrington (J.P.), and the loves of her life, her grandson, Parker, and granddaughter, Leeloo all of Easton, MD, sister-in-law, Paula Ayers, who helped out any way she could, a very special niece, Becky Jenkins, (Lewis) who she thought of as her own, and many other nieces and nephews.

She is predeceased by an infant son, James Walter, brothers, Joe Dave and Willie Dave Ayers, and a sister, Bessie Mae Williamson.

The family would like to say Thank You to the wonderful Staff for all the love and kindness given to Ms. Sally at Ridgewood over the last two years. Ms. Sally loved the Staff and enjoyed talking to everyone.

The family will receive friends Wednesday night, Feb. 4, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
