Greenville man charged with heroin possession

The Washington Police Department arrested a Greenville man, charging him with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver heroin.
Jeffrey Paul Morning, 48, of Greenville, was arrested by WPD officers on Jan. 29. According to a press release from Lt. William Chrismon, spokesman for the department, officers seized 109 dosage units of heroin during the investigation.
Morning was placed in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a 15,000 bond, pending court appearances, the release said. He was also served an outstanding warrant for a failure to appear in court in Pitt County and received an additional $500 bond.
The release said additional charges are pending.
