MICROSOFT IT STARS: Students in the nationally recognized Microsoft IT Academies benefit from world class Microsoft curriculum and software tools to tackle real-world challenges in the classroom environment. In the Career and Technical Education Business course BM10, Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, Washington High School has recently certified 51 students in Word 2013 and 55 students in PowerPoint 2013 — 46 of these certified in both Word and PowerPoint — and all are now Microsoft Office Specialists. Students who earn these certifications have demonstrated their skills and knowledge of the software programs and their readiness for college and careers.
