From Northeastern North Carolina Craft Workshop volunteers

Registration for the 2015 Northeastern North Carolina Craft Workshop began on

Feb. 7 and will be accepted on a “first come-first served” basis until the April
2 deadline. Registration forms and class information can be requested from the
Beaufort County Cooperative Extension Service.

Registration fee is $10 per day. All registration fees are non-refundable, but transferable, and must be received by April 2. Class kit fees vary depending on class selection. The workshop is designed and open to everyone and anyone interested in learning a craft whether hobbyist, adult or youth groups, craft teachers, small business persons, etc.

The 2015 workshop will be held on May 12–13 at the Vernon G. James Research & Extension Center located at the Tidewater Research Station on N.C. Highway 32 in Plymouth. Hours are 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

Classes include: Armenian Needle Lace; Basketry; Basic Stained Glass; Cottonwood Bark Carving; Decoy Carving and Painting; Embroidery; Glass Etching; Knitting – Beginner; Needle Felting; Painting in Acrylic; Seagrass Stools; Silver Jewelry; and Yo-Yo Ornaments.
