Ray W. Bowman

Mr. Ray Wesley Bowman, age 71, a resident of 403 Cemetery Rd., Belhaven, died Thursday February 26, 2015 at his home.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Sunday March 1, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home in Belhaven and will be officiated by Medford Hopkins. Blake Paul, Jeffery Terry, Glen Quidley, Mike Davis, Jim Satterthwaite and Sid Eden will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Bowman was born on May 25, 1943 in Beaufort County to the late Charlie Ray Bowman and Evelyn Bernell Wade Bowman. He loved life and participated in many civic organizations such as the Good Sam Running Bears Camping Club, the American Legion, the VFW, and the Town Planning Board.

Survivors include his wife Mildred G. Bowman of the home, his sister Ann Marie Paul of Bath, two nieces Grace Marie Terry and husband Jeffrey of Deep Run, Sandy Long and husband Keith of Hickory, and a nephew Blake Paul of Bath.

The family will receive friends Saturday February 28, 2015 from 6:00pm until 7:30pm at Paul Funeral Home of Belhaven.
