Allen F. Padgett

May 17, 1947 – Feb. 28, 2015

 

Allen F Padgett age 67, a resident of 3451 Harvey Road, Washington, NC died Saturday, February 28, 2015.
A memorial service will be held at 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at Emmanuel Free Will Baptist Church officiated by Pastor James Greene. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
Mr. Padgett was born in Beaufort County on May 17, 1947 the son of the late Allen Fonce Padgett, Sr. and Etta Lee Burbage Padgett.  He worked with NAACO for 20 years until his retirement. Mr. Padgett was a member of Emmanuel FWB Church. He loved gospel music, his cats and the Carolina Tar Heels especially the basketball team.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Padgett, four sisters, Ruby Crisp of Chocowinity; Shirley Asby and husband Ed of Chocowinity; Dorothy Whichard of Roanoke Rapids; Lois Wilburn and husband David of Jacksonville, Florida and  a brother, Louis Padgett and wife Joan of Washington. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johnny and Charlie Padgett and a sister Hazel Woolard.
