Dorothy Jean Edwards Leggett

Dorothy Jean Edwards Leggett, 58 of 1541 Jack Roberson Road in Williamston, NC, died Tuesday, March 3, 2015 in her home.  Mrs. Leggett was the daugther of Ms. Iris Jean Meeks and the late James Henry Stalls, Sr..  She was a member of Sweet Home Church of Christ.

Surviving along with her mother, are:  her husband Michael Hilton Leggett, her daughter Elizabeth Ann Cobb and her husband Daniel of Bear Grass, her two sons:  Steven Allen Edwards of Bear Grass and Michael Adam Leggett and his wife Catherine Lynn of Washington; her sister Sheila Faye Lee and her husband Paul of Bear Grass; her brothers:  James Haywood Stalls of Bethel, Kenneth Earl Stalls of Cleveland, TN, James Henry Stalls, Jr. and his wife Christy of Everetts, and Danny Ray Stalls and his wife Angie of Parmele, and 7 grandchildren.

Mrs. Leggett was preceded in death by her brother Jimmy Dean Edwards.

A Celebration of Mrs. Leggett’s life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2015 in Christian Chapel Church of Christ with the Pastors Ward Sullivan and Greg Sexton officiating.   A private burial will be held following the service at the Leggett family cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church on Friday, March 6, 2015 from 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM.     Friends may send online condolences by visiting www.jimmysawyerfdl.com.  Jimmy D.
