Lloyd E. Young

April 3, 1931 – March 8, 2015

 

Lloyd E. Young age 83, a resident of 1255 Cowell Farm Road, Washington, NC went to be with the Lord on Sunday, March 8, 2015.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 11, 2015 from 3:00 until 7:30 PM at the Shalom House Community Building located at 1255 Cowell Farm Road in Washington, NC. A funeral service will be held 4:00 PM Thursday, March 12, 2015 at 15th Street Church of God officiated by Eddie Bowen, Minister. Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Young was born on April 3, 1931 in Hopewell, Virginia the son of the late Franklin W. Young and Nettie Lorena Bailey Young.  He served his country in the United States Air Force and United States Naval Reserve for a total of 12 years. Mr. Young worked as a truck driver for the J B Hunt Company until his retirement. He loved fishing, gospel music and driving tractor-trailer trucks. The Lord and his family were the most important things in his life.

Survivors include his five daughters; Beth Pinkham, Pat Howell, Lori Favre, Angela Blythe and Teresa Webb, a son Marcus Williamson, eight grandchildren;  Jenny Pinkham, Sarah Vetrano, Tyler Howell , Carly Howell, Rusty Williamson, Nick Williamson, Jeffrey Padgett, Morgan Padgett and four great-grand children; Ariel Vetrano, Courtney Pinkham, Caleb Williamson, Connor Blythe and estranged wife Arlene Young.  Mr. Young was preceded in death by a brother; Franklin Earl Young and two grandsons; Brandon Blythe and Ian Howell.  You may share a memory with the family by visiting www.jimmysawyerfdl.com.  Jimmy D.
