Mrs. Linda Herwig Potter, age 65, a resident of 815 Pearl St., Aurora, died Friday, March 20, 2015, at Grantsbrook Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Grantsboro, after a courageous battle with Posterior Cortical Atrophy.

A funeral service will be held Sunday, March 22, 2015, at 1:30 p.m.at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington, officiated by the Rev. George Jones and Rev. Steve Stutts. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery of Washington. Michael Peed, Jason Williamson, Coley Jordan, Sid Cayton, Jeffry Robinson and Jeff Peed will serve as pallbearers. Shirley Nanney, Laura Jordan, Pete Moore, Robert Weatherington, Frank Alcock and Tom Potter Jr. will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Potter was born in Wharton, Texas, on Sept. 28, 1949, to the late William Norman Herwig and Maxine Fryman Herwig, who survives. Mrs. Potter graduated from Aurora High School in 1968. On July 4, 1970, she married Hal Curtis Potter III, who survives. Mrs. Potter worked in the family business at Potter Oil Company, as long as her health permitted.

In addition to her husband and mother, both of Aurora, Mrs. Potter is survived by two sons: Hal Brian Potter and wife Holly of Aurora, and William Brad Potter and wife Sandy of Aurora; a sister, Wanda Hardy and husband A.B. of Aurora; and four grandchildren, Nicholas Potter, Allison Potter, Lindsey Potter and Justin Potter.

The family received friends on Saturday, March 21, 2015, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
