Marie Looney Anton

Feb. 17, 1935 – March 22, 2015

 

Marie Looney, 80, a resident of Richmond for 30 years, previously of Williamston, NC, went to be with the Lord after a sudden illness on March 22, 2015.  Born in Maxie, VA. on February 17, 1935, she retired from Henrico Doctors Hospital.  Marie loved coffee, jewelry, travel and babies, she also enjoyed scrapbooking, picnics in the park and was always happiest surrounded by her children and grandchildren. She was married to the late Charles E. Anton, Sr. and is survived by her children, Dennis Dale Anton (Janice) of Jamesville, NC., Charles E. Anton, Jr., Gail A Barber, Deborah Lynn Anton  and Ruth Anton Schroeder (Nathan) all of Richmond, Tina Louise Anton of Pactolus, NC., and Mary Anton Wirth (John)  of Archdale, NC.;  her siblings Burley T. Looney, Jr., (Doris) of Dover, DE., Irene Hendricks (Joe) of Roanoke, VA., and Mary L. Belcher of Rogersville, TN., as well as 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8pm Wednesday, March 25 at the West Chapel of Bennett Funeral Home, 11020 W. Broad St., where services will be held 1pm Thursday, March 26, 2015.  Marie will be laid to rest with her husband in Virginia Veterans Cemetery
