Mrs. Verna Mae Brooks-Armstrong, 72, of 1135 N.C. Highway 45 South, Plymouth, died Saturday, March 28, 2015, at Vidant Medical Center, Greenville. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 4, 2015, at the Eastern North Carolina and Virginia Assembly headquarters, Roper, with Bishop Daniel L. Gilliam Jr. officiating. Burial follows in Shiloh Memorial Gardens, Roper. Visitation is from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Shiloh Church of Christ (Disciples of Christ), Roper. Arrangements are by Puckett-Purkett Funeral Service, Roper.
