Master Ethan “Reid” Sasnett, age 16, a resident of 9206 Slatestone Road, Washington, NC died Monday April 6, 2015 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday April 9, 2015 at First Baptist Church of Washington officiated by Rev. Jimmy Johnson. Burial will follow in the Sasnett Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tyler Harriett, Joshua Harriett, Adam Tetterton, Reid Crouch, Cameron Howell and Aaron Little.
The family will receive friends 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday April 8, 2015 at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington and other times at the home.
Reid was born in Beaufort County on December 21, 1998 son of Paul Ray Sasnett and Amy Davis Sasnett. He was a sophomore at Pungo Christian Academy of Belhaven where he was a member of their FFA Chapter. Reid was also a member of Pinetown Volunteer Fire Department, BoCo Archery and the Carolina Truck Game. He was proud to be a member of the “Sasnett farming team.”
Surviving along with his parents: Paul and Amy of the home are three sisters: Candice Leigh Sasnett of Lake City, SC, Amanda Danielle Sasnett of the home and Kassie Ruth Sasnett of Greenville; a paternal grandmother: Janet Dean Sasnett of Washington; a maternal grandmother: Janice Jordan Rhodes of Washington; aunts: Audree Parker and husband Alton of Bath, Leigh Tetterton and husband Bobby of Washington, Bonita Arvizu and husband Henry of Washington and Leslie Foster and husband Earl of Belhaven; uncles: Wayne Colbert and wife Laura of Pantego, Bobby Mac Davis of Belhaven, Lowell Rhodes and wife Lea of High Point, Gregg Rhodes of Pittsburgh, PA and Proctor Dean and wife Amy of Cary and cousins: Tyler, Josh, Liz, Matt, Robyn, Adam, Ashlyn, Trevor, Destinee, Carl and Jordan.
Reid was predeceased by his paternal grandfather: Bonnie Ray Sasnett; his maternal grandfather: Lowell Minton Rhodes; his maternal grandfather: Bobby Davis and a cousin: William Ryal Harriett.
