BEAUFORT-HYDE PARTNERSHIP FOR CHILDREN REACH OUT: In celebration of Cuddle Up with a Good Book Day on Tuesday as a part of the Week of the Young Child celebration, volunteers and early educators throughout Beaufort and Hyde counties read aloud from “The Nuts: Bedtime at the Nuthouse” by Eric Litwin. Kris Bowen, early literacy coordinator at Beaufort-Hyde Partnership for children, is pictured reading aloud in the waiting area at Washington Pediatrics as a part of the clinic’s Reach Out and Read program in which children between the ages of six months to five years of age receive new books at their well-child visits. Wesley Harrison (right) enjoyed hearing about the Nut family!
