Mrs. Carolyn Marie Bell Wright, age 70, a resident of 7100 N.C. Highway 99 N., Pantego, died Saturday, May 9, 2015, at her home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Union Grove Church of Christ and will be conducted by Scott Askew and The Rev. Sonny Browne. Burial will follow in Davis Cemetery. Austin Peterik, Cedric Black, Jesse Black, Eric Bell, Richard Hodges, Billy Henry and Vernon Bell will serve as pallbearers. Carolyn Ricks, Sue Radcliff, Vicki Paul, Vicki Cox, Deb Sparrow, Shirley O’Neal, Audrey Midgette, Jean Corbett and Janice Allen, members of the Bridge Club will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mrs. Wright was born in Beaufort County on May 12, 1944, to the late Jurden and Henrietta Hodges Bell. She was a 1962 graduate of Pantego High School and graduated from Hardbarger Business School with an associate degree in business. On July 11, 1964, she married Zeno Mack Wright Sr. who survives. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren, talking with other farmers, spending time with her bridge club and going to the beach with her husband. She was a member of Union Grove Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband, Zeno Mack Wright Sr., of the home; two daughters, Reatta Black and husband Wayne, of Pungo, and Tonya Marie Wright Peterik, of Pungo; one son, Zeno “Zack” Mack Wright II and wife Kellyn, of Bath; six grandchildren, Austin Peterik, Cedric Black, Jesse Black, Ella Peterik, Chloe Black and Madelynn Wright; one sister, Mary Ella Bell Respess and husband Hassell, of Belhaven; three brothers, J.B. Bell, Joe Bell, Roland Bell and wife Karen, all of Pungo; and her niece and caretaker, Jennifer Bell.

The family will receive friends from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Union Grove Church of Christ and other times at the home.
