Mrs. Geneva Cox Powers, of Greenville, died Monday, June 29, 2015.

A graveside service will be conducted Thursday at 4 pm in Pinewood Memorial Park.

Mrs. Powers, a native of Pitt County, made her home in Norfolk, VA for 35 years with her husband, William Frank Powers who died in 1968. She had lived in the Hollywood community of Pitt County since 1974. She was a previous member of the Faith Assembly of God.

She was preceded in death by her two brothers, Raymond Cox, Jr. and Howard Cox; and a sister, Della Bolby.

She is survived by her: husband, Hugh C. Powers, Jr.; daughters, Linda Lee and husband, Raymond, of Forest City, NC, Jennifer Blevins and husband, Thomas, of Greenville, NC, and Deborah Braswell and husband, Autry, of Carrsville, VA; brothers, Alvin Cox, of Jacksonville, NC and Lindsey Cox and wife, Dolly, of Greenville, NC; sisters, Joyce Mahan, of Greenville, NC and Carolyn Cox, of Punta Gorda, FL; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Thursday one hour prior to the service at the cemetery.
