Evan Dumay Beacham, Jr.

Evan Dumay “E.D.” Beacham, Jr. Age 64, a resident of 630 Taylor Road, Chocowinity, NC died at his home Wednesday, July 1, 2015. A celebration of his life will be held at his home from 1:00 until 6:00 PM Sunday, July 5, 2015.

Mr. Beacham was born in Beaufort County on December 2, 1950 the son of the late Evan Dumay Beacham, Sr. and Emily Boyd Beacham.  He worked with Singer Furniture Company for 18 years until leaving to work with Haddock and Son Farms where he worked until his retirement.  Mr. Beacham was known for his love of animals especially his three dogs Little Girl, Precious and Lyla; and his cat Kitty Tom.  E.D. as he was known by his friends and family enjoyed mowing grass, cooking and eating Bill’s Hot Dogs.  His strong love for family was an important part of his life and he especially enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren as they bought him much happiness and were always close to his heart.

Mr. Beacham is survived by his wife, Geneva Alligood Beacham of the home; two sons, Rodney Wayne Beacham and wife Tara and Donald Evan Beacham and wife Karen both of Chocowinity; his mother, Sarah Ann Beacham of Chocowinity; and his five grandchildren; Randall Paszt, Tristen Beacham, Kaleb Beacham, Emily Beacham and Zachary Beacham.
