Ronald W. Berry

Ronald Wade Berry, 46, of 30600 US Hwy 264, Engelhard, died Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Born in Beaufort County, January 14, 1969, he was the son of the late Luther and Doris Modlin Berry. He was married to the former Christal Gibbs who survives.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2015 at Bryan Funeral Service, Swan Quarter.

He spent most of his working years in the seafood industry as a boat captain for the Sassy Sarah and the Bridgette Denise. He had the best sense of humor, always making everybody laugh. He was known for his giving character and his love to the Pittsburgh Steelers.

In addition to his wife surviving are two sisters, Gail B. McMurran and husband Willie of Manteo and Doris Berry of Wanchese, several nieces, nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made in Ronnie’s memory to Bryan Funeral Service, 119 Main St., Swan Quarter, NC 27885.
