March 10, 1981 – Sept. 19, 2015

Aydrian Lewis Richardson, 34, died September 19, 2015 at Vidant Medical Center in

Greenville.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date, tentatively set for October 17th at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greenville. The family will receive visitors anytime at the homes of his parents: James and Joy Tyson, 57 North Asbury Church Rd., Washington, and Mike Richardson, 155 Wren Dr., Washington.

Aydrian was born on March 10, 1981 in Belhaven. He graduated from Northside High School in 1999 and attended East Carolina University. He moved to Denver, CO where he was very involved and passionate in political and social activities. He moved back to North Carolina to be close to family. He was an active member of Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Greenville. Aydrian enjoyed people, and people enjoyed him. No one was a stranger. He loved to teach, care and help anyone in need.

He was compassionate and loving. He is deeply missed.

Aydrian is survived by his parents, Joy and James Tyson and Michael Richardson of Washington; sister, Crystalline and Jim Harris and their son, Kamron; sister, Candice Bell and her children, Mercedes Harmon and Stormy Bell; sister, Scarlette and Chris Langley and their children, Amberly, Bryanna and Hunter; and brother, Daniel and Patsy Tyson and their son, Justin; grandparents, Ruth Abramson, Cora and Dalton Windley, and Grace Tyson, all of Washington, and Perry Richardson of Wallburg, NC; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and great-nephews. Aydrian is preceded in death by his grandfathers: Sylvan Lewis Abramson and Troy Craddock and Tom Evans.

The family would like to thank all the loving family and friends that came to the hospital, messaged, posted, called and prayed during his illness. We would also like to thank the MICU staff at Vidant Medical Center, along with his entire medical teams for the professional and loving care they provided for Aydrian and his family.
