PANTEGO RURITAN CLUB

President Neil Bowen called the Sept. 10 meeting to order. Curtis Rogers led the club in singing the first verse of America. Gail Carrow offered prayer, and everyone enjoyed a meal provided by Neil Bowen.

The roll was taken, and the minutes of the August meeting were approved as read. There was no treasurer’s report.

In old business, the pancake-sausage breakfast for Sept. 19 was cancelled.

In new business, President Bowen reported that four active members had resigned for various reasons. Discussion was held regarding the club’s future. It was suggested that a membership drive be held and if results were not adequate, the club would disband. President Bowen will check on the legalities of the proper disbursement of the club’s assets. The club appreciates everyone’s support over the years.

With no further business, everyone said the Pledge of Allegiance, and the meeting was adjourned.
