From Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office

On Oct. 19, 2015, the Beaufort County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit arrested Sharrief Bush, 34 years of age, of 617 E. Ninth St. in Washington. Bush was charged with trafficking in cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling to keep a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Bush’s charges stemmed from investigators executing a search warrant on Bush’s residence. Investigators found cocaine, digital scales and packaging material used to repackage cocaine.

According to Lt. Russell Davenport, head of the drug unit, investigators found 37 grams of cocaine in the residence.

Bush has five prior felony drug convictions and was confined in the Beaufort County Detention Center under a $60,000 secured bond.
