The Red Hat Honeys held their October meeting at Wendy’s of Washington. Those present were Bernice Cannon, Joyce Carawan, Catherine Fulford, Marian Kozuch, Joan Palmer, Vivian Thompson, Joyce Tucker and Martha Seighman.
Queen Martha called the meeting to order and welcomed everyone.
Martha announced three coming events for 2016: the 10th annual Extravaganza in Kinston on March 12 — a Western theme this year, cost is $25 for a buffet luncheon; an 18th birthday celebration on April 30 at the Hilton in Greenville — cost is $35 for a seated meal with choice of chicken or fish entrees, bring a $10 gift to exchange if you wish to participate; and the 2016 N.C. State Convention — at the Embassy Suites in Cary. Further details are forthcoming.
Martha called games of Bingo for Joyce Tucker, this month’s hostess. Doorprizes were awarded and everyone won at least one Bingo game.
Martha announced that the February hostess will be Bernice Cannon, who will notify members of time and place, and Joyce Carawan will host the April meeting.
The meeting was adjourned following the singing of “God Bless America.”
