James R. Blount, 75, of 102 Mama Bear Road, Vanceboro, died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2015, at UHS Pruitt-Two Rivers Healthcare in New Bern.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at Rio Grande Missionary Baptist Church, with Pastor Marcus Miller officiating.

Burial will follow in the New Bern Memorial Cemetery. Viewing will be held Monday, Dec. 20, 2015, from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m., with the family visitation from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Viewing will resume one hour prior to the service at the church. Arrangements are by Trinity Memorial Funeral Home, Inc.
