Mrs. Linda Jackson Clark, age 73, a former resident of Washington, died Friday, Jan. 8, 2016, at Grace Hospital in Morganton, N.C.

A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2016, at Paul Funeral Home & Crematory of Washington officiated by Pastor John Woodley. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.

Mrs. Clark was born in Beaufort County on Dec. 29, 1942, daughter of the late Elmer and Mable Silverthorne Jackson. She was a 1961 graduate of Washington High School and continued her education at Miller Monte College. On June 16, 1968, she married Robert Lee Clark Sr., who preceded her in death on Aug. 29, 1998. Along with dedicating her life to her family as a homemaker, Mrs. Clark also had worked as a secretary in the printing business.  She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Ayden.

Survivors include a son: Robert L. Clark, Jr. (Stacey) of Hildebran, NC; a sister: Windy Pinkham of Washington; three brothers: Wayne (Shirley) of Washington, Larry Jackson (Judy) of Eden and Robert Jackson (Cathy) of Washington; two grandchildren: Kahla Clark and Bradley Clark and a great grandson: Brayden Seagle.
