DOTTIE WALKER

DOTTIE WALKER

Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. To see more animals available for adoption, visit www.petango.com/beaufortcountyNC, visit ENC Shelter Dogs, ENC Shelter Cats and Washington Cat Rescue on Facebook or call 252-946-4517 for more information. The Humane Society of Beaufort County can also be found on Facebook at www.facebook.com/BeaufortCountyNCHumaneSociety.

Jazz

Sleek and dressed up in her silky black, shorthair coat, white star on her chest and huge golden-colored eyes — that describes our stunning Jazz. At 4 years old, this calm and friendly girl has already been spayed, and her adoption fee is $20. She will do well in a variety of good, forever home settings. Ready and waiting to go to her home, Jazz invites you to come in and meet her.

But don’t come in on Monday, Jan. 18 as the shelter is closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Jazz will be available through the following Monday at the shelter.

Dizzy

Friendly, calm, gentle and sweet — that describes our girl. Loving affectionate talk and being petted, this 3-year-old Boxer-mix is pretty in her brindle-and-white coat.  Nice with staff and volunteers, she appears to like other dogs as she wags and wiggles on sight. Dizzy needs tender loving care in a good forever home with regular feedings of nutritious dog food, as she is very underweight.

Dizzy wants to know you, but don’t come in on Monday, Jan. 18 as the shelter is closed in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Dizzy will be available through the following Monday at the shelter.
