Pecheles Automotive’s $30,000 donation to the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain was bolstered by an additional $10,000 from Toyota Motor Corporation through the Toyota Dealer Match Program. This is the third year in a row Pecheles Automotive has garnered additional support for the local clubs from the manufacturer’s philanthropic program.

“The Pecheles Automotive donation helps us continue to impact our Club members each and every day. Without support like this from our community, we would not be able to do what we do. The funds help us to have all the necessary equipment and supplies to ensure successful programs for the kids when they are here, which in turn makes them successful in school. We’re just extremely grateful for the donation and the matching gift from Toyota,” said Jamie Cooper, president and CEO of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain.

Donyell “DJ” Jones, executive vice president of Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain, said, “The contribution shows that the community, and Pecheles Automotive, specifically, sees the importance of serving those kids who need us most, by providing them with opportunities to excel. It is not just a donation, but it is truly an investment in the future of the community. It gives kids opportunities that they wouldn’t otherwise have, so they can break cycles and continue to grow, to know how to improve their own situation and to promote the health and academic success of their own kids. We can’t do this alone, and Pecheles Automotive has definitely played a major role in helping us successfully achieve our goals and outcomes over the last few years.”

Not only will Pecheles Automotive’s gifts be used for the regular programming of the clubs, but this year’s matching gift will provide funding for BGCCP’s new teen initiatives in 2016. These initiatives involve college tours, job shadowing opportunities, extended teen hours and a junior staff program.

“Pecheles Automotive continues to partner proudly with Boys & Girls Clubs of the Coastal Plain because we truly believe what the leadership of their organization believes: that in order to create a better tomorrow for our community, we have to invest in our children,” said Brian Pecheles, president of Pecheles Automotive. “It has been a joy to see the organization grow in recent years. We are thrilled to see what is in store as they continue to serve our local children.”
