Esther C. Niten
May 16, 1934 – Feb. 12, 2016 

It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the passing of Esther Harris Niten on Friday, February 12, 2016.

She was born on May 16, 1934 in Pike Road, North Carolina, to Vilma Allen Harris and Asa Warren Harris, both of who, along with brothers Warren Harris, Bennie Mac Harris and John Harris, preceded her in passing.

Esther moved to Richmond, Virginia after high school where she met and later married Bonnell Niten, who passed away in 1994. They moved to California where they raised daughters Bonnie Baha of San Marino, California and Ginger Niten of Rathdrum, Idaho.

Esther traveled around the world and had many exciting adventures before returning to North Carolina where she was a resident of Belhaven at the time of her passing.

She is survived by daughters Bonnie and Ginger, stepson Roy Niten of Washington state, granddaughter Miriam Baha and grandson Ayman Baha, both of San Marino, California, plus step-grandsons David Niten of Mt. Airy, North Carolina and Jeff Niten of Washington state.
