Mr. Pittman Fillingame Jr., 74, passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, February 16, 2016.

The funeral service will be held on Sunday at 2 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Chapel in Vanceboro, NC, with Rev. Billy Hacker. Burial will follow in Celestial Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Fillingame was born and raised in Craven County. He was the son of the late Pittman Fillingame Sr. and Carrie Wilson Fillingame. He was a retired building contractor. He attended Vanceboro Free Will Holiness Church.

He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Clark Fillingame; son, Johnny Fillingame of Vanceboro, NC; 2 daughters, Carrie Fillingame Fogleman and husband, Christopher, of Burlington, NC and Ruth Fillingame Townsend of Vanceboro, NC; brother, William Fillingame, and sister, Christine Day, both of Vanceboro, NC; and 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

The family will receive visitors 6 to 8 pm on Saturday at Wilkerson Funeral Home in Vanceboro.

Arrangements are by the Wilkerson Funeral Home, Vanceboro.
