Loretta Lynn Whitfield Adams, age 43, a resident of Washington, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Vidant Beaufort Hospital in Washington. Loretta was born December 13, 1972 in Chesapeake, VA, to the late Earl and Goldie Letha Matthews Whitfield.

Loretta was a mother and homemaker who loved her family. Survivors include two daughters, Priscilla Voliva and Jasmine Beddard, three sons, Dusty Rose, Ethan Whitfield and Noah Alligood; also surviving are two sisters, Reba Whitfield of Washington, and Lisa Gamble of Deschamp, MS, five brothers, Danny Whitfield of Jamesville, NC, David Whitfield of Stokes, NC, Jonathan Whitfield of MS, Bill Waters, and William Waters, both of Washington, and one grandchild, Caleb Voliva. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Laurie Knowles.

A celebration of her life will be held at 3 pm Sunday, March 6, 2016 in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service with Pastor Eric Hill officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Life Gate Free Will Baptist Church, 52 Old Pamlico Beach Road, Belhaven, NC 27810. Hillside Funeral Service, 4500 Hwy 264 Washington, has been given the honor of being entrusted with serving the Adams Family.
