Herbert A. Mills Jr.
Jan. 16, 1944 – March 8, 2016 

Mr. Herbert Allen Mills Jr., age 72, a resident of 502 Godley Road, Grimesland, died Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

Memorial services will be 11:00 am Saturday, March 12, 2016 at Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church and will be conducted by Rev. Ronnie Gurganus.

The family will receive friends following the service at the church and other times at the home.

Mr. Mills was born in Beaufort County on January 16, 1944 to the late Herbert and Annie Ruth Haddock Mills. On February 2, 2001 he married Grace Clark who survives. He was a graduate of Grimesland High School, worked as a farmer, worked as a mechanic and truck driver for Mitchell Tractor Company and attended Hodges Chapel Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include his wife, Grace Mills of the home, one son, Herbert “Allen” Mills III and his wife Terry of Grimesland and their daughter Annie Elizabeth Mills, one stepson, Danny Lee Edwards Jr., of Washington, and his son Dalton Lee Edwards, one sister, Geraldine Taylor and husband George of Grimesland, one brother-in-law, James Arnold of Grimesland, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by one sister, Betty Lou Arnold.
