William C. Wilkinson

Mr. William Clare “Bill” Wilkinson, age 77, a resident of 114 Arbor Drive, Washington, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Vidant Inpatient Hospice in Greenville.

A memorial service will be held at 10:30 AM Wednesday, March 16, 2016 from the Chapel of Paul Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington, conducted by Damon Walcott.

Mr. Wilkinson was born in Elmira, N.Y., on August 18, 1938. He was the son of the late Alvin C. Wilkinson and Myra A. Neish Wilkinson. Mr. Wilkinson graduated from Syracuse University. He was a retired commercial insurance broker. Prior to moving to Washington, Mr. Wilkinson lived in Phelps, Wisconsin, where he was Past President of the Phelps Chamber of Commerce. In his spare time, Mr. Wilkinson loved playing his guitar and singing. He was known by his family and friends as a “beloved entertainer and song stylist.”

Mr. Wilkinson was married to the former Susan Mary LaRenzie, who survives.

Surviving with his wife are his children, Robin Parker (Bruce) of Virginia Beach, Va., Christian Scot Wilkinson (Terri) of Odessa, Texas, Blake Cameron Wilkinson (Marcie) of Austin, Texas; stepdaughters, Lisa Osowski (Mark) Of Vernon Hills, IL, and Christy Walcott (Damon) of Washington; and grandchildren, Brett Parker, Bradley Parker, Brandon Wilkinson, William Wilkinson, Marisa Osowski, Jason Osowski, Dylan Walcott and Eli Walcott.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Wilkinson was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda Murley Wilkinson; a son, William Nash Wilkinson; a sister, Phyllis Jean Narsh and a brother, Walter Beverly Wilkinson.
