Stuart E. Blanchard

Mr. Stuart Ellsworth Blanchard, age 93, a resident of 211 Oak Drive, Washington, died March 18, 2016 at Martin General Hospital in Williamston.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, March 26, 2016 at Oakdale Cemetery, officiated by Steve Hill. Friends are asked to meet at Paul Funeral Home and go in procession to the cemetery.

Mr. Blanchard was born September 10, 1922, son of the late Charles Edward Blanchard and Hazel Zora Lawrence Blanchard. He served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard, was a retired agent with the I.R.S. and a member of the First Baptist Church in Washington. Mr. Blanchard loved to play golf and enjoyed woodworking.

He is survived by his niece: Lorene Charser of California and his cousin: Laverne Lundquist of Glenview, IL. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife: Mary Lee Hudson Blanchard and his sister: Shirley Collier.
