Richard William “Bill” Shavender
April 11, 1945 – March 26, 2016

Richard “Bill” Shavender, age 70, a resident of Washington, died Saturday, March 26, 2016. A celebration of his life will be held today in the chapel of Hillside Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Hillside Funeral Service. Burial will follow with military honors at Pamlico Memorial Gardens, officiated by Pastors Phillip Jethro and David Linton. Pallbearers include Richard Shavender III, Richard Shavender IV, Phil Cameron, Kenneth Marshall Keech Jr., Wayne Woolard, Mike Goltra and Santos Ibarra. Hillside Funeral Service & Cremations is serving the Shavender family.
