BETH HARDEN HUNGRY FOR DINNER: A hungry cormorant bird catches and eats a good size jumping mullet fish. The creek has more than a normal population of cormorants this year. “To me, they really have no purpose other than they are God made and for that they get my respect,” said Bob Daw, who’s sister-in-law Beth Harden captured the photos. “Not really a pretty bird. Not really graceful flyers and are actually clumsy in the air. Not popular with osprey, eagles or fishermen because thay are excellent at catching all types of fish. (It is a) pictorial view of God's nature of events on Blounts Creek.”
