Margaret Neal Lewis
June 9, 1918 – April 1, 2016

Margaret Neal Lewis, 97, of Bath, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 in her home.  Ms. Lewis was born on June 9, 1918 to Nancy Elizabeth Burrows and Jesse Thomas Neal and was the widow of the late Jesse James Lewis Sr.

Ms. Lewis was a member of Ingleside Baptist Church and the Eastern Star Berkley Chapter #52, both in Norfolk, VA.

Survivors include her two daughters: Gypsy Lewis Hawkins and Jacquelyn Lewis Everett, both of Bath; her two sons: Jesse J. “Jimmy” Lewis Jr. and his wife Darlene of Fort Smith, AR, and Samuel A. “Tony” Lewis and his wife Shannon of Stafford, VA; her six grandchildren: James Curtis Hawkins, James Christopher Womack, David Lee Hawkins, Heather Lewis England, Ashley Lewis Rapp and her husband Fred and Daniel Thomas Lewis; six great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Ms. Lewis was preceded in death by her four brothers and four sisters.

A celebration of Ms. Lewis’ life will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 in Rosewood-Kellum Funeral Home, 601 North Witchduck Road in Virginia Beach, VA.
