From the Pamlico Writers Group

The public is invited to lunch with author Michael Worthington on April 19 at 11:45 a.m., at the China Bay Buffet Restaurant in Chocowinity.

Worthington’s books include “Secret Sixth Sense,” a paranormal novella; “World Crash,” a science fiction novella; “MS and Horses,” about a high school senior coming of age with a touch of romance, a smidgen of violence and lots of inspiration. Worthington comes to us from Elizabeth City where he taught college for 30 years before retiring and becoming a fulltime writer.

Worthington will be sharing strategies to help authors connect with their readers. Here are a few of the topics he plans to present: collecting contact information to email newsletters and announcements, how to make finding your website, Facebook and blog pages easier and using search engine optimization (SEO) strategies to help raise the rank on search pages. Don’t miss this presentation — come out on April 19 and join us.

Lunch attendees should go through the normal buffet line at 11:15 a.m. and assemble in the private meeting room. Leaving a tip for your server will reduce the facility cost for the writers group.

Pamlico Writers Group is affiliated with Arts of the Pamlico and meets as small critique groups on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. at the Turnage Theatre. Novice and published authors are encouraged and invited to join our groups.
