SPECIAL PRESENTATION: Jammin’ for the Vets, a concert held May 14 by Lee Cherry of Lee Cherry Entertainment, raised $1,016 for American Legion Post No. 15. The 95-year-old chapter recently received the much-needed donation to support the facility’s expenses. During Jammin’ for the Vets, Jack Willard presented American Legion Commander Cecil Eborn with a framed G.I. Bill of Rights as printed in the Washington Daily News in 1945, a newspaper Willard found among his mother’s belongings. Pictured left to right are Brad Moody, Eborn, Cherry, Cooper Greer, David Lee Jones and Willard during the presentation.
