From the Humane Society of Beaufort County

It’s Christmas in June at the shelter, and during the month of June, cats and kittens have reduced adoption fees of $35 each. This fee includes spaying/neutering, the first round of shots, a microchip and worming, for each feline adopted. This is a reduced fee with the remainder paid by the Humane Society of Beaufort County.

This is the ideal time of the year to adopt, not during the frenzied time of the holiday season. The shelter is brimming with felines in beautiful colors and different ages. Have that special someone who would like a feline friend come into the shelter and choose one for themselves. With the money saved on the adoption, something special can be purchased for the cat or kitten, and give that gift at Christmas.

The shelter, also known as the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, is located at 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, Washington. The facility is open to the public Mondays through Fridays, from 1–5:30 p.m. and Saturdays, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Hurry! Don’t delay! This offer is in effect June 1-30. Many great cats and kittens need good forever homes. Rest assured, it will be a happy Christmas in June.
