Washington students graduate with honors

RALEIGH — Mary Claire Brewer and Alex Nolley, both of Washington, graduated with high honors from Saint Mary’s School in Raleigh on May 22. They were among 61 high school seniors receiving diplomas from Head of School Monica M. Gillespie, Ph.D., during Saint Mary’s 174th year commencement exercises held in the school’s oak grove, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
Brewer is the daughter of Michelle Brewer, and Nolley is the daughter of Jean and Bill Nolley, all of Washington.
Saint Mary’s School in Raleigh is an independent, Episcopal, college-preparatory boarding and day school, dedicated to academic excellence and personal achievement for young women in grades 9-12. Found in 1842, Saint Mary’s is the fourth-oldest girls boarding and day school in the nation.
