Those interested in adopting a pet should inquire at the Betsy Bailey Nelson Animal Control Facility, 3931 U.S. Highway 264 East, from 1 p.m. until 5:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. Saturdays. Because of overcrowded conditions, the animals listed are only available as indicated.

All adoptions are on a first-come, first-served basis. Achiles

Cute, adorable, loving, friendly, fun — the list goes on and on when describing our 2-month-old puppy. Good looking in his shorthair coat of warm brown with black features, this Shepherd–mix is a happy little fellow and everything is new for him. But Achiles needs tender loving care, attention, consistency in his life and a good forever home with attentive owner(s) willing to give him these necessities of life. Soon his family will need to provide exercise in a fenced area or on a leash and basic obedience training so he will know what is expected of him. Come in and meet, Achiles; he’s available through next Saturday at the shelter.

Niki

Her beauty of a medium-length, bicolor coat of pristine white and raven black and huge golden eyes, is matched with a calm, friendly and gentle personality. This 2-year-old, large girl is unsure of her shelter environment. But once she is in her good, loving forever home with affection and consistency, her true nature will blossom and grow and she will demonstrate what a wonderful pet and companion she is. Come spend a little time with Niki and see for yourself what a great cat she is.

Niki is available through next Saturday at the shelter.
