W. Edmond Swindell

William Edmond Swindell, 64, of Swan Quarter, died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Cross Creek Health Care Center, Swan Quarter.

Born in Hyde County, September 10, 1951, he was the son of the late Edmond Wade and Eleanor Ruth Wheeler Swindell. He was a member of the Swan Quarter Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Swan Quarter Pentecostal Holiness Church. Pastor Mike Wheeler will officiate.

Surviving is a daughter Rose A. Swindell of Winterville; two brothers, Richard Wade Swindell and wife Betty of Williamston, Christopher Otis Swindell of Swan Quarter; a sister, Mary Amelia “Amy” Midyette of Swan Quarter; three grandchildren, Matthew Guthrie, Jullian Glover, Mary Glover; two great-grandchildren, Trenton Warner and Kaelyn Toppings.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Anthony Haven Swindell.

The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
