Doris “Dot” Cayton Walls

Mrs. Doris “Dot” Cayton Walls, 83, of Greenville, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 27, 2016, surrounded by her loving family.
The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday at 11 AM in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel.
Burial will follow at Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington.
Doris was born and raised in the Chocowinity area of Beaufort County. She enjoyed cooking and canning, reading, growing flowers and shopping. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and gatherings with them. She worked various jobs throughout her life, but will always be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Roy Macon Moore; daughter, Debra Moore Harrison; an infant son, Roy Jr.; and granddaughter, Teresa Wiggins Dixon.
She is survived by her: current husband of 10 ½ years, Plum Walls; daughters, Lynne Wiggins of Chocowinity and Cindy Boseman and husband, Danny, of Black Jack; sons, Roy Joseph Moore and wife, Tammy, of Greenville, Carlton Walls and wife, Teresa, of Ayden, and David Walls and wife, Kay, of Ayden; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Talmadge Cayton and wife, Mary Francis, Gerald Cayton and wife, Amor, and Don Cayton and wife, Carolyn; sister, Nina Woolard; and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 to 8 PM at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
