Nicholas Scott “Nick” Sadler, 34, of Swan Quarter, died unexpectedly Monday, August 29, 2016.

Nick was born in Beaufort County, September 15, 1981. He was the son of Scott R. and Vicki Cahoon Sadler. He was married to the former Mindy DeLarco who survives.

Nick grew up with a fondness for trucks and tractors, and he made some of his fondest memories working on the farm with his daddy.

His daddy and grandfather filled him with knowledge allowing him to become a man of many trades. They taught him everything he knew and “his” way was always “the right way.” He admired and thought the world of his grandfather, and only wanted to make him proud.

Nick had a passion for sports, especially baseball, and he shared that same passion with his daughter Makenzie and her love for softball. His children were his pride and joy. He loved cooking, gardening, fast cars and loud trucks, but most of all Nick loved his family, his friends and his beloved dogs “Blue and Diesal.”

Nick was a hard worker and had a heart of gold and was loved by so many. Nicholas Scott Sadler will be forever in our hearts.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2016 at the family plot in Soule Cemetery. Pastor Jerald Craddock will officiate.

In addition to his parents and wife surviving are two daughters, Makenzie L. Sadler, Kloey S. Sadler; a son Kollin R. Sadler, all of the home; two sisters Christy S. Barfield and Karen Sadler, both of Swan Quarter; his paternal grandfather, Ottis E. Sadler of Swan Quarter; three nieces, Ciara Barfield, Molly Zedd and Kaylee Sadler and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Edmond L. and Shelby Spring Cahoon, and his paternal grandmother, Marjorie Gibbs Sadler.
