Shred-a-Thon slated for Sept. 17

Southern Bank of Belhaven will host a Shred-a-Thon on Sept. 17, beginning at 9 a.m.
The bank’s office is located at 148 E. Main St. in Belhaven. The event is scheduled to end at 1 p.m., or possibly earlier if the Shred-It truck fills to its capacity.
The Shred-a-Thon is open to the public; however, businesses are not eligible due to capacity limitations. Individuals may bring up to six boxes per car. Sensitive items may include: bank statements, outdated check stubs, receipts, tax documents and more.
The Shred-a-Thon is being co-sponsored by Southern Bank, the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office and Shred-It.
