Thelma Coltrain Hardison

Thelma Coltrain Hardison, 91, of Jamesville, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, September 13, 2016. The funeral service will be held Friday at 2:00 PM at Poplar Chapel Church of Christ; burial will follow at Jamesville Cemetery.
Thelma was preceded in death by her husband Robert T. “Teenie Bud” Hardison after 32 years of marriage. Her parents William and Mary Corey Coltrain preceded her in death, and brothers Kincher Hugh Coltrain and William Carl Coltrain, and sisters Mary Ann Coltrain Hardison, Mae Coltrain Corey, Myrtle Coltrain Hughes, Glendora Coltrain Corey, Fannie Coltrain Bowen and Armintie Coltrain Bowen also preceded her in death.
Thelma was a homemaker and enjoyed working at Hardison’s BBQ for 20 years.
She was always helping her neighbors, friends and family with 2nd commandment of ”love thy neighbor” by cooking and in any way that she could to show her love for them.
She was a very active member of Poplar Chapel Church for many years. Gov. Jim Hunt awarded her the Order of the Long Leaf Pine for volunteering and helping others.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 6-8:00 PM at Biggs Funeral Home in Williamston.
