The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for 77-year-old Josef Kosic.

Kosic is 5-foot-9, 180 pounds, has gray hair and green eyes.

Residents are asked to be on the lookout for Kosic, who is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.

According to authorities, Kosic left 626 Kugler Kamp Road in Washington, and was last seen in Hyde County, traveling east on N.C. Highway 92, wearing a red and pink polo shirt and blue shorts. He is driving a white Honda CRV (license plate: BJY-4270).
