Mrs. Louise McLawhorn Clark, 84, of Grimesland, died Sunday, October 23, 2016.

The funeral service will be conducted Wednesday at 11 am in the Wilkerson Funeral Chapel.

Burial will follow in Pamlico Memorial Gardens in Washington.

Mrs. Clark, a native of Pitt County, was a lifelong resident of Grimesland. She was engaged in farming with her husband for many years, and for over 40 years, she ran a daycare in her home. She was a member of the Grimesland Free Will Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin H. Clark; sister, Betty Parnell; and grandson, Kevin Buck.

She is survived by her: daughters, Debbie Clark Buck and husband, Jerry, of Grimesland, Cindy Clark Harmon and husband, Albert, and Vicky Clark Jones and husband, Ronnie, all of Greenville; grandchildren, Keith Buck, Jason Harmon and wife, Bridget, Kim Harmon, Brandon Jones, Mandy Miller and husband, Dustin, and Jordan Jones; great-grandchildren, Xavier Buck, Megan and Ryan Harmon; brother, Ray McLawhorn and wife, Dora, of Grimesland; and a sister, Callie Stocks, of Norfolk, VA.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 pm at Wilkerson Funeral Home.
